You can try Miracle whip but I thinkits really sweet in comparison to regluar mayonnaise. Ranch dressing works to but if you are trying to cut out mayo cause of the cal/fat then ranch is not a good alternative.

Stick to mustard. Unless you are eating mayo everyday or more than 4 times a week I would not worry about it dangering your heart. Anything in excess is bad for you and there are alot worse foods out there then a spread of mayo on a nice deli sandwich.

When I went to rehab after my heart attack, the nurse discussed my diet and said that Miracle Whip was better to use. And to watch the labels when I bought food because of high content of salt. Some labels are misleading, they may cut down the percentage of fat but add more salt or visa versa.
I still have my diet plan she gave me somewhere. But, I am sure the American Heart Association web site would have the same diet plan.

Mustard.
Its zesty and fat free. And it goes great on almost anything.
You could try one of those yogurt spreads. Ive had them...they are an acquired taste to say the least. It takes some time to get used to them.

Only if you are eating it by the spoonful. Use real mayo in small amounts. That diet crap is so full of additives and bad things---that's the stuff that will kill you.

Real mayo, real butter, real sugar--in moderation--is much better than fake stuff.

Nothing! You only live once, Lassy. Enjoy what pleasures you have while you can. Who knows? You could fall off a ship and drown in the middle of the sea, like me deck hand, One-Armed Billy. Arrgh!!!

The best replacement, I believe, for Mayonnaise is Salad Cream.
I has a similar, distinctive, strong taste and it also has the smooth texture.
Warning: Go for salad cream light instead of normal because it's better for you. ;-)
Hope it helps.

In what?
In tuna salad or pasta salad, Italian dressing is a great substitute.

Miracle whip, or ranch dressing.

avacados.

there's soy alternatives... ask about them or research about soy alternatives online.

i use avacados, i scoop the goodies out and blend it up with another veggie and spread it like peanutbutter on my breads and the like.

but like i said there's probably a soy alternative to mayo.

there's soy alternatives to almost every thing else.
