Do these lenses do any harm to your eyes? Do you prefer this or the ordinary eyeglasses?

i wear contacts/glasses... and i prefer contacts.. but yes there are some risks.. mostly infection and discomfort... just make sure to get your annual check-up that most eye doctors require before they will refill your prescription and you should be fine.. for me.. one unfortunate side effect has been that my eyes have lowered their natural ability to water.. i haven't had my contacts in in 3 months and still my eyes are dry often.. but it's nothing i can't live with and they even make a type of eye drop to help with that these days. there are a few other things that you only hear about from time to time.. like how about 8 months ago there was a virus going threw the US that caused whoever got it to go blind for about 2 weeks.. then they would be normal.. not many people got it.. but people with contacts were much more likely to get it. overall if you change out your contacts when you should and let your eyes rest from time to time you should have no problems and after the first month will probably prefer them to glasses.

I wore lenses for 38 years. The benefits vs. glasses are many. You have full peripheral vision for one. You dont get wind or impact protection to you eyes. When worn properly contact lenses are superior to glasses.
When not worn properly, you can have problems like conjuncvititis (occular inflammation). The "what if's" are avoided by simply caring for your lenses and your eyes. Sunglasses are a must when outside.

i don't think they damage your eyes if you wear them the right way ( keep em clean, etc.)
i wear them occasionally but i prefer glasses because they're low maintenance
