The best gift for any parent is to spend time with their child.
So, get a pair of tickets to the theatre or the movies, or to a sports event, and go out together and out to dinner.
If you wanted to do something really special, make up a letter telling him all the things you love about him, and happy memories you have of your childhood.

Take the time to put together a collection of living memories. Clips from home movies, family pictures, great memories. Put on CD with music background and graphics of your choice. I guarantee this work of love will win his heart.

Everyone is different, what are his hobbies? My grandfather really liked chocolate so whenever we would get together my aunt would make him chocolate candy for his birthday.
