Never heard of a Caesar as a drink, but you can be my Cleopatra anytime! ;-)

I've always been more of a tequila sorta guy anyway...do you get any good tequila up there in the Great White North? :-)

My Dad drinks them all the time. I also worked at a bar in south Florida(a lot of canadians there) that made them with real clam juice from a can. Not me. No way. But people do drink them here.

My experience as a bartender is that it is mainly a Canadian thing. It contains clam juice. Not too many Americans drink clam juice. We just go for the Bloody Marys which is almost a Caesar.

There are some people who drink them here, but they are not very common. I have bartended for years and have never had someone order one. Very few of the bars here carry clamato juice, so it would be difficult to get one from a drinking establishment.

In America we call this drink a bloody mary. The only variation is that clamato is often substituted for v8, and that a good one (in my opinion) has horseradish in it. Its a great drink but can be almost a meal in itself. Next time your in the states try one, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. Sorry though, no shrimp in this cocktail.

Mine too.
Until recently ordering a ceasar in the US would get you a response like "a Whaaaat?" They are now beginning to catch on thanks to the marketing skills of Mott's Clamato.
Florida knows what they are. I'm doing my best to make it catch on in CA. My head office is there. And I ask for one on every one of my business trips to the US.
Here's hoping it catches on like wildfire!
