Of course not. Mohammad's army conquered the entire Arabian penninsula with hugs and kisses!

"632–661 After the death of Muhammad in 632, a series of four caliphs (Arabic: khalifa, "successor"), known as the Rightly Guided, succeed. Under their command, the Arab armies carry the new faith and leadership from the Arabian Peninsula to the shores of the Mediterranean and to the eastern reaches of Iran. The Arabs take Syria, Palestine, and Egypt from the Byzantine empire, and Iraq and Iran—the heart of the Sasanian empire—succumb to their forces."

Please read written history. Thanks
Peace.

Yes, Islam was spread by the sword. The link you provided is absolutely right.

As for the Crusades, those were started by the pope after he received a plea for help from the Christians of the Byzantine Empire who were being attacked by Muslims waging jihad. Yes, they got out of hand and many of the crusading Christians believed that killing Muslims was the will of God. However, the crusaders only opened a new front in a war that had already been raging between Islam and Christianity. They did not start the war. Please actually read history, people.

What is truth? Your website says that it wasnt spread this way. Western Media (and modern history) says it was spread this way....Who do I beleive? the people spreading it, or the news media?

In my opinion, neither are trustworthy. Fact is, Christianity too was spread by the sword - for over 1400 years. But everyone forgets about that....including the Church itself. So, why should I trust you to tell me the truth? Truth is totallly subjective when it comes to faith.

You, being a Muslim(I assume, from your name) Should know better than anyone that Christianity, when it was young, was spread by the sword. Look at the Crusades and the Inquisition. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims were killed by "good" Christians because Muslims chose not to believe in the Christian faith. So, no Islam was not spread by the sword, Christianity was.
