Life and death are not substances. They are not something you can really quantify. Is a rock dead? It's certainly not living. Is the Sun dead? Well, at least it moves. Scientists, even, can't say whether viruses are considered living or dead. The definition is too loose.
If you comparing people who are alive to people who used to be alive, I'd say that there is much more death than life. If you are asking whether there are more corpses or live people, then there are many more live people. Corpses decompose quickly enough that I think we outnumber them. Of course, that would depend on what you consider too decomposed to count.

They are equal. For every life there is, or will be one death. Nobody gets two lives but only one death. Also, nobody will get two deaths but only one life.
