i was wondering if its ok to just potty train my 2 year old little girl in panties than pull ups, because i notice when i use pull ups she just pees in them but when i put her "big girl" panties on (even at night) she does not use the bathoom on herself that much.

What's with Pull-Ups? Did you have Pull-Ups? I know I didn't and I came out just fine, no accidents or anything. My mom just let me run around naked for a weekend and by Sunday morning I was potty trained. It sounds like your daughter is totally ready, just skip the Pull-Ups and put her in panties, she may have a couple accidents at first but that's why we have washers and carpet cleaner. Go for it!!

Panties are better then pull-ups, it's still like having a diaper on. I think it makes her feel like a big girl when you put panties on her are they special ,do they have her favorite character on them or the color she likes the best. As for night time you might like to put her in pull-ups, because sometimes two year olds still wet at night until they are fully potty trained.

I used the pull ups only at night. During the day, I used panties with the plastic panty cover you put over them. She would get all wet, but it would help hold some of the pee in so as to not make such a wet mess on the floor.

use pull ups at first and at night. after a couple of weeks start using panties during the day and pull ups at night. remember nothing to drink after 6:00 pm. have the child sit on the potty several times during the day. good luck i have for grown kids and i had to potty train two at a time. girls are better at potty training.

Tell her she can wear the big girl panties if she dont peepee the bg panties. I went to the gum ball machine at my local super market. NEXT to the gum balls is some surprises. I bought about 3 bucks of those surprises and put them in a jar. EVERY time she peepeein the potty i would give her a prize. MAYBE you can think of something else. BUT with all my sisters children this method worked. GOOD luck. TRY not to give food rewards.

I would use regular panties rather than pull ups. I know that if I were wearing diapers, I would use them rather than going to the bathroom... they keep you dry, so what do they have to lose? Your girl will need to feel what it's like to pee herself. You will probably have a few accidents, but I think it would be way quicker to potty train her that way. I plan on using cloth diapers after my son turns 1, that way he won't be used to the dry feel of the disposable diaper, and potty training will be that much easier (plus it'll save on diapers).

I learned with my 3 children to only use pull ups at night time. Pulls are thick and fill like a diaper. With all 3 we just let the kids pick out their big girl/boy underwear and only used pull ups at night time & only when we were going out some where.

Keep her in the panties. She most likely does not know shes wet in the pull ups.

I didn't use the Pull-ups when I potty trained my son. It confused him. I think if they can feel that they are wet, it helps with potty training because they don't like that feeling. Pull-ups act too much like a diaper.

My son was potty trained shortly after his second birthday. I went from diapers to underwear...no pullups. Pullups are just another kind of diaper. Why would the child feel the need to use the toilet if they have an accident they don't feel anything..it's just like before. When they have an accident in underwear they feel wet and well, my son didn't like that and he learned to use the toilet real quick.
