Tooo far to walk,..
It can also be because birds want to migrate to a warmer place during winters

Many birds migrate or fly south for the winter because of temperature changes. Cold, snowy winters can create a real health hazard for them, as does the lack of food. So when the days grow shorter and colder, birds set off for their warmer winter home, South is the way they go because in the southern hemishpere when it is winter here it is summer there. In Florida, where I live birds from brazil migrate here, because it is their winter, so sometimes it is not always South!!!!!
