What country would you emigrate to and why?
I'd go to New Zealand because it seems quite similar to Yorkshire but there is more space, it is more unspoilt and the people see to actual care about the street they live on.

To paradise...
Surely... paradise... the best "country" to live on...
I have looked for booking a ticket...
No planes...no ships...no trains..
I intend to write a book about the subject... but....
I'm in doubt...
Would paradise stay inside me?....
Or inside you, friend?
Guess I tried to make your mind thinking a little bit... and you can go by cycle....

As a Yorkshire lass myself I am inclined to agree with you, New Zealand does look like a beautiful country and very similar to our beautiful Yorkshire, I wish I had emigrated at a younger age and seen something of the world, at nearly 50 I am just starting to do that now and going to visit relatives in Australia at Easter, given my life over again then I would not have hesitated to go to either New Zealand or Australia as both are in striking distance of each other.

I have been to Australia 3 times, and would certainly move there - it has everything I would want....friendly people, better weather than here, cheaper cost of living but I would miss so many things about the UK.

For me it's the US.
I'd give anything to live in the land of the free.
It begs the question though why is it everyone wants to leave this miserable hell hole of a country we live in
