The Key of life is an ancient Egyptian Seal correctly called th e Ankh.
It was given to all pharoahs that had died for protection and to help them come back to life in the underworld.
It is said that Isis, egyptian goddess of love used it to bring Osiris, egyptian god of the underworld back to life after his evil brother Seth had killed him so that he could rule the world. On resurecting Osiris, Isis was impreganted by the spirit of Osiris where by she conceived the ruler of the earth Horus.
It is said that anyone in possession of an ankh will have the gift of eternal life ie life in the underworld.
Hope this was helpful.

Are you talking about the key to the kingdom?

It is used to unlock the gate of heaven. God gives it to those who accept his gift of salvation.
