I'm seeing some of the most ridiculous questions and generalizations - like ALL Christians are evil, Christianity is evil, etc. If we generalized about a race of people by saying the same things, it would be seen as HORRIBLE. Yet people can ask ridiculous questions that bash Christians because it's the thing to do right now. As a whole, look at all the charity Christian organizations do!!! Much more than "secularists" do, or any other religions do. On the whole, Christianity is a wonderful religion that does lots of good throughout the world. Nobody is "making" you be a Christian. Nobody can "force" you. That's why we have free will - God only wants you on his team if you "want" to be. I don't understand why you want to "bash" Christianity. If you don't want to be a Christian, I feel sorry for you, but cannot force you. Why do you waste your time bashing all things Christian? Don't you have better things to do???

Ok, I love how people want to tell me to "sod" off, like I'm offending them by asking my question!! See what I mean? Or "Joshua G" who wants to cuss me out - see what I mean?!?! Why are you even wasting your time to answer my question? LOL!!!!

That's just what this world has come to. The end is near, probably nearer than we even suspect, and those who haven't been "born-again" and followed Jesus the way he wants ALL his children to are going to find out that they messed up and it's going to be too late to redeem themselves. It's just that there is a certain series of events that need to take place before the End happens, and persecution of Christians & Christianity is just part of that. But those who stick by Jesus and stay faithful even to the point of death will be given the crown of life (Rev 2:10).

God Bless

Sorry to say this but you seem to be doing a good job yourself...the point is that your religious leaders (no offense) think that they can judge anybody and deem them evil, what they don't realise that it's not gonna work anymore (liike burning peple at the stake callin em witches...hahahaha)...Great mind and high thoughts do not come from wearing jewellery and fancy dresses...all great thinkers lived simple lives instead of waving aimlessly in crowds...If you don't mean something why quote it...and about forcing people to convert when the portugese landed on the shores of India they started converting orphan children and people forcibly into Christianity...and what do you mean by 'secularists' do you know that Kuwait and Saudi Arabia alone were ready to give 700 million $ to war ravaged Lebanon..that US weapons helped destroy....Why bring up names of other religons while dealing with peace much less any religon....so even though you might think that people are bashing your religon here...Your leaders are doing a good job of openly misinterpreting other religons which is a greater crime........By the way its called reasoning not bashing....

I think it's equally a place for some Christians to bash homosexuals and those who are atheists or pagans, etc. It goes every which way in this forum. I do try to differentiate between Christians and fundamentalist wackos. Yes, I called them wackos and that is certainly a form of bashing. They call me an unrepentant sinner in return, sometimes they call me that first and I answer them in kind. I have a great deal of respect for Christians who are tolerant of others' beliefs, but I do have a problem with those who are busy preaching to and judging all others who are not like them. It's not hard to find here, you haven't seen this? It's just as prevalent as those who post questions specifically meant to rile up fundamentalists.

It's an answer forum and everyone has their beliefs and this is an extremely safe place to voice them. There are extremists in any group and there are a LOT of trolls. In this forum it's sort of like "pick your weapon" most of the time.

Firstly, to Christian bash indicates intolerance, and is a fool's game. As to why folks come here to bash Christians, it's probably something to do with how they can vent to something faceless, and ignore any answers (or else watch at how much fuss folks make about what they just said).
Christian bashing is for fools. But then, we have a way of reacting in a way that isn't helpful to anyone. Ever get those stupid fwd>>fwd>>fwd>> emails that's gone around the world a number of times? It'll make up some moral indignation and ask for you to sign your support (or opposition) here. It's nothing more than a way to harvest email addresses. If the claimed offence happened in the first place, the person instigating the round of e-mail isn't interested in doing something about it - he/she is interested in getting a reaction and harvesting some email addresses for spamming.
Sometimes it's better to just walk away from contention. Contention is, after all, of the Devil.

I guess there are must be a lot of stupid atheists out there who decide the best way to argue for atheism is to claim nonsense like that. I'm an atheist, but at least I prefer to to argue the point with real evidence and logic, resorting to insults only if the person I'm talking to starts DELIBERATELY doing stupid stuff.

Also, don't kid yourself it's a one-way street. We atheists get bashed a lot too, probably even worse than the christians do. I'm not claiming YOU do that, but there are many who do. If you spend some time on here, you'll see them eventually.

Yes, I have seen a lot of those questions tonight, mainly by the same person, I am not religious, but even I am finding them offensive, mainly for those who are, if people have a problem with religion they should not read the questions, I also do not understand why a certain person on here feels the need to be so judgemental!!!

If you don't think your religion is being forced on people, then you don't watch the news much.

That's why people like me are here to try to educate people, and plant the seeds that will end the scourge on humanity that is religion.

And for the record, the Christians aren't the worst ones. They're just contributors. I'm more concerned with the muslims. But right now, they're a bit of a lost cause. So I target the group that I can actually have an impact on. Welcome aboard!

I do not understand it either. It seems to me that once you allow people to say whatever they want without making them responsible for what they say, they will say anything. "Truth", today means whatever you want it to mean. That is not the "truth" that was meant when I was growing up. Truth to you is Christ. You are striving to do the right thing while those in the world are not. Perhaps if you read the gospel of John chapters 13 through 17 you could find some comfort. Keep your eyes on the goal.

They were originally going to name this section christian bashing and abuse...but thought that may turn some christians away...naming in Religion and Spirituality seems to have done the trick! ok, joking aside...if you open your eyes and look around ALLOT more bashing comes FROM the christians in here. it's surely not one sided...personally I don't care what you believe, people are people and deserve to be free....I do get sarcastic when I feel like someone is trying to push their beliefs on me.
