I'm getting married in July. What color shoe should I wear white or black? I've included a link to a dress that looks similar to mine. I found some really comfortable and cute black ones but just don't know if black would be ok. What do you guys think? Thanks. Oh the color of the trim will be black.

Very pretty dress. Normally I would say no, but with the black trim, I think black shoes would actually be okay. The dress is long anyway, and no one is likely to see your feet during the wedding. If they see the black shoes during the reception, they will probably be too relaxed/drunk/happy to have an opinion either way.
I would definitely suggest the most comfortable shoes you can find, since you will be on your feet all day and don't want to be hurting on your special day!
Ultimately, it's YOUR wedding, so do whatever you really want!

I absolutely LOVE that dress!!!

I would go with white shoes. Black may look funny when you lift the dress up (going up stairs, etc). You are better off going with a comfy white shoe. Maybe even ballet slippers or nice sandals that you could wear again. July definitely screams sandals! And then you would be able to use them for a day other than your wedding.

This is an idea for the ballet style shoe:

That's a hard one. If the trim is black then black would look good. Also you might want to try some pretty clear shoes. I don't know what I would wear if I was in your situation. Black is different, but I don't know if appropiate for a wedding dress. Try them all out and see how they look. Good luck.

Definately black wingtips. You can't go wrong with black wingtips.
BTW you're gorgeous and your gown is gorgeous

On the shoes--go comfortable. You're going to be on your feet for quite a while, and, you'll notice, the shoes don't show.
You really don't want to look back on this day 30 years from now and think, that was beautiful, and GOD my feet hurt. Have you ever tried to put on a genuine smile when your feet were killing you? The people may not know what is wrong, but you can bet they will know something is wrong.

That is a beautiful dress. I can see how black shoes would look good with a dress like that, but as a bride...I would not wear black. Go with white!

That is a gorgeous dress! Not black. White would be best. Silver would even be ok but black would stand out way too much. Good luck to you. I really love the dress!

for that color gown i would recommend black shoes as it will accent the trim on the dress. white would be too much. the dress is very nice and also i think black and white flowers would finish the touches too. good luck and congrats.

I think black would look best since the bottom of the dress is black. White would stand out to much.

That's a beautiful dress!! I think black is fine, totally acceptable because it matches the dress and if they're cute AND comfortable, then go for it! According to an article on TheKnot.com, brides can wear any color shoes they want these days, nothing is off-limits. :-)

White with a little black trim would be cute with your dress! You can get shoe embelishments at most bridal stores.
