The answer is yes. Hell is the resting place for those who die. It is mankinds common grave. In Hebrew it is called Sheol and in Greek it is called Hades. What does the Bible say about those in hell? We are told that Jesus has the keys to death and hell, meaning that people who die and are in hell will be released from both. The dead will be resurrected from hell (grave) and brought back to life.(Revelation 1:18)
Revelation 20:13 tells us--"And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works."
Yes, hell delivers up the dead and they are given another chance to prove their loyalty to God and his government, which will rule over the entire earth.
Will hell be needed after everyone is brought back to life? No,-- death will be gone and there will then be no need for hell (graves)so God will put hell out of existance as seen at Revelation 20:14-" And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire."
The lake of fire is symbolic and means total destruction.

If you die without trusting in the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins, you are going to hell and there is only one time you will get out and that is to stand at the judgment bar to be judged for what you have done and then you will be cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20: 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20: 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I don’t know , I’m no expert but I think Revelations talks about the dead being judged at the end of the world. But I don’t know if that just means the people that are still alive when our lord comes back or if it saying those who went to hell too.

The Bible teaches that Hell or Hades is the common grave of mankind, not a place of eternal suffering. So, yes , it is possible to get out in the Resurrection soon to take place

Firstly, im not sure why an atheist has a question about a hell, when i thought you religion believes there is no such thing???
But on the other hand, no once your in hell you cannot get out, God extends His grace and mercy to us on earth and gives us more than enough opportunities to accept Him as our personal Savior.

that is a damn (no pun intended) good question. i believe everyone gets a second chance to repent before being sent to hell. their names are first looked up in the Book of Life (believers) then those not in that book are looked up in the Book of Works, then judged and given a 2nd shot.

consult a theologian or a man of the cloth, but stay away from born agains-- they don't know crap.

Hi,

As an atheist you will understand this. Hell is what you make it, for yourself. And it is equally your own doings to get out of it. This is "Rational Spirituality", by the way.

Have a nice day.

The Bible's definition of hell is the common grave of mankind. Therefore, yes, when people are resurrected to life again, they "get out" of hell.

...Not hardly. Read on, 2nd Thessalonians 1:

6 For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,

7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,

8 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

9 These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

...Eternal destruction...eternal is forever.
