Take example: Hot Jessica Simpson She is considered 'hot' because she is made up..full hair, full make-up..etc.
Beautiful Charlize Theron She dosen't need all that crap to make her look the way she does. Men are still attractive to her either way, but Jessica Simpson without make-up..watch out!

To me, hot implies a sexual desire for the person. It's not necessarily an attractive face, but a sex appeal that comes from the body or attitude of the person. It's more of an impression you get when you look at them, or a feeling of passion. It can be just one part of the body that you find appealing, and not always the whole shape.
Being beautiful implies that the person has a pleasing face and/or figure. They are attractive to you with the way they look. Desire may or may not be a part of it, passion isn't always involved.
A person can be beautiful on the inside, and not on the outside, where as a person is never hot anywhere but the surface.

It depends on who is saying it...for some, those terms would be interchangable and "hot" is the more trendy word than "beautiful" these days.
For others, hot means sexy, and beautiful means very pretty (not necessarily sexy)...
A 'hot' chick is one that's more likely to have guys wanting her sexually...not that they also might not desire a beautiful girl, but between the two, hot tends to be the one 'amorous' guys would go for...

I believe that it all depends on the age and maturity level of the men that are saying it. If they are teenage boys then they say hot as a way of getting into your pants. If it is a real man than they mean beautiful with respect and admiration.

When you get called "hot" all they think about is you in a sexual way... they want you physically and probably just looking at what you look like and not who you are inside. When you are called "beautiful" then, they say that you are amazing inside and out... not only are you physically attractive, but you are also emotionally attractive and they really love you for who you are inside.

There isn't really a difference I guess. When someone calls you beautiful it's romantic and magical (yes, magical..) and when someone calls you hot it's more stimulating and sexy I guess. Does that make sense? They both mean that you are attractive so I guess the only difference how its said.
