The goose has to get fat. That way it will feel badly about itself, will have a poor self image, none of its clothes will fit, won't be able to find a date, etc. Then it will not feel badly about its upcoming fate.

Goose use to be the traditional christmas bird before turkey. no point in having a skinny goose to feed all that family!

wh does the goose have to be kept in a cage, have its beak cut off with a red hot knife (minus anasthetic) they can support themselves thier bones splinter under thier wieght form an unnatural diet then thier are (often fully concoius) electrified and (often fully concoius) scaled and murdered
