I'm sure I'll piss off some folks with this question. Just wonder what others think.

Ya it's possible. With the Roid companies staying a head of the doctors there will always be lag time between abuse and testing. With the fall of so many great cyclists due to doping the seed of doubt can always be there. To think the best athlete of modern cycling didn't have access to all the drugs would be naive. So there in lies the question "do you thing Lance took drugs?" I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years we find out he took enhancements. On every ride I'm not so sure. I'd love to think not, but thanks to Jan and Landis, know knows now days. I guess just the riders and the team trainers. I hope for the sake of all the youth riders looking up to all these guys that it stops and Lance didn't.

Yes he could have, and he could also be a martian.

I think the best answer is that he just has different physiology than others. Test report that his VO2max put most elite athletes cyclists included to shame, his chemo treatments reduced a lot of the muscle mass he had built up as a tri-athlete and allowed him to rebuild his body as a climber. He never lost the raw power during the chemo just the additional weight that made climbing in his early days of racing impossible to sustain. He also changed his pedal cadece to match Miguel Indurains climbing style learning from the past champion how to win in the mountains.
