I have done it but since the microwave works so fast you must watch very closely. I would do only a minute at a time and maybe even 30 seconds a shot is even better until you get it down pat. Place the garlic cloves on a paper towel. Test with a fork every 30 to 45 seconds to see if tender.Also, since garlic does not represent a substantial mass volume you should put in a microwaveable cup filled with water to absorb excess microwave energy.

It would not turn out the same. You can, however, roast garlic quite successfully in your toaster oven.

I'm just taking a stab... but, I don't think you can roast anything in the microwave. I'm thinking if you had some of those hotpocket sleeves (that silver material) you could ATTEMPT it.

Yes, but the health benefits will be removed. Microwaving changes the chemistry of food.

you can not roast in micro....used your oven just add a bit of oil and roast at 400 with the skins on...til lightly brown
