I was dating this guy whos been in America for 6 yrs. He is 20 and he got married almost 2 yrs ago. Even tho he is married we still dated. Its only because the marriage was only for the green card, I been to his home, there is no evidence of a real marriage. Thats the only reason why I continued seeing him.

Anyway he had a court date on Tuesday. 3 things couldve happened, he woulda got his card which would have been the best outcome, the marrage helped a lil. He would have gone to jail for at most 2 months, due to him being undocumented for 2 yrs. lastly the worst outcome: he would have been deported.

I havent heard from him since the night before his court date. I call and call, a message comes on saying "this subscriber is unavailable. try your call again later" I figure if things turned out well he woulda been excited and called me to tell the goodnews. Instead i get these call back messages, or the phone rings continuously. What do you think happened? Should I give up?

k fair enough. I was just giving you all the information he gave me. Sorry if it doesnt make sense to those of you who know about the process. I think he mighta been detained to why would his phone be out of service? Unless he did it the night before himself.

The 3 options u mentioned aren't exactly accurate...his court date would be his interview date where he shows evidence along with his wife to the immigration officer the validity of the marriage...if the officer sees that he does not have sufficient evidence based on marriage...immigration will notify him and his wife by mail whether the petition for permanent residency was denied or approved...he wouldnt go to jail right away or be deported...but there have been instances where the marriage was so blatantly a lie and fraud...he may have been detained right on the spot for removal proceeding...even then...he would still have a right to appeal the decision in the immigration courts...
him not answering ur call could either be 1) he's detained in jail pending removal proceeding or 2) he wants u to think he's deported so that he can have a clean break from u....

Sounds like he was deported.

Maybe he wasn't and doesn't want to date you anymore. Who knows.
