Since my son is in the Millitay-can I get some type of discount on travel tickets?

That would be a no, I'm a army wife and even us trying to use the military discount doesn't take much off, maybe taxes if that. But no, only military personnel and their dependents can use a military discount.

I don't think family members can, I think only military personnel can. Never hurts to ask airlines though. I would call them directly and ask. Let them know what is going on. Also, I would try contacting your son's military school and see if they have any discount programs set up for families that may be flying in for the graduation ceremony......they may have discounts set up through certain airlines if they recommend them to parents. It doesn't hurt to ask--- like they say, asking is free--- but don't count on it. Military discounts on airfare is reserved for the military personnel and their dependants only. So your son's children could get a discount but parents rarely do.

Call Continental Airlines. Speak to their customer service person. Explain the situation.

Got me, I didnt when my daughter graduated from Boot camp. I know the airlines give it to Military personall bu they are supposed to show ID. But it never hurts to check
