This neighborhood woman has called the police on my sons twice. Says they are bullying her grandson. Ok, so, come talk to me about it right? No. She calls the police. I've talked to my sons and both know not to go near her house, but the little boy said something bad to my 13 year old yesterday. He said something back and they argued. Then my son came home. Now the police have been called by her again. Is there a charge she can actually put on my son?

this is tough. if it is just arguing, then the officer(s) will usually just mediate. if there was assault and/or battery, then charges may be pressed. it all depends on the circumstances. if the police comes around, you can explain to them the situation from your side. they will also interview the neighbor, and formulate a conclusion afterwards. they can even deduce that the neighbor is abusing police resources if she calls them all the time.

Turnabout is fair play. If she keeps doing this, and provided that your sons are NOT messing around near that house, then you can tell the cops that she's abusing police resources in order to harass you and your kids. Start a paper trail of the incidents.
If she's letting her kid act in a bad manner to yours, and then she calls the cops rather than disciplining her kid, you can use the police against her. Have your kids carry a hidden tape recorder in their pocket, so they can catch the other kid causing the problem. Or, if you can, get the kid doing it on video.
It's important for you to document what's going on.

No, they are underage. The worst she can do is get a restraining order against your sons. Sounds the the neighbor kid is asking for an a** kicking, tell your kids to stay away. But, until he gets the beating he is looking for he probably won't stop instigating a fight. I grew up with the same situation. But I ended up kicked his A**! Grandmas boy are the worst!
