It will make your hair appear a bit darker, but that is because of the moisture it adds. It is very good for your hair!

No it doesn't. But it does help your hair if you do:
INGREDIENTS (enough for 1 or 2 treatments, depending on the length and thickness of your hair)
½ cup olive oil
5 drops frankincense essential oil (others may be substituted, if you wish)
1 plastic bag that can fit over your hair.
1. Pour olive oil into a jar with a lid, then add essential oil. Put lid on jar and shake well to disperse the essential oil. Let sit for 24 hours in a cool, dark place. Shake again before use.
2. Rinse hair with warm water. Warm 1 tablespoon of oil treatment in the palms of your hands. Using your fingertips (not nails), gently massage the oil into the scalp in a circular motion. Repeat until the entire scalp has been massaged. Rub the ends of your hair with the remaining oil.
3. Place a plastic bag over your hair, secure by tying or with a hair clip or clothespin, and allow the oil to remain for at least ½ hour.
4. Rinse well, then shampoo as usual.

If you have darker hair, no. If you use olive oil and leave it on on very recently dyed hair, your colour may actually fade slightly.
Olive oil can slightly darken lighter hair. My hair is a dark blonde and my hair gets a bit darker if I use it before washing my hair--but only while using the olive oil, so it's not a permanent darkening. After a couple washes without using it, my hair brightens up considerably.

If your goal is to moisturize your hair, jojoba is the best. I know someone whose hair got damaged by olive oil's mild acidity. It's great for the scalp, which has a higher ph than hair, but it's not the best for hair. If you *want* your hair to be a bit darker, coconut oil will do that and some people like it as much as jojoba.

I've heard that do, although I don't know whether it's true. Olive oil does make your hair soft ans shiny though. I use it once a week and it works.

No, but if you already have dark hair it will make it look a bit darker, just because your hair is more moisturized.

if you have blonde hair that will naturally get bleached by the particular sun in the summer. There had been this guy in my class who had golden blonde hair that has been a medium brown near the bottom part. When he came back to university after summer vacation, it was nearly platinum blonde!

Exactly why is everyone with blond, why cannot you just have jet black hair with some blonde or blonde tresses with some jet black hair. Right now you don't have to choose.
