Hi, my 740 runs great, starts everytime but will stall at stop signs afer warming up. Before it stalls completely, when I press on the brake the idle will go notiably lower (from 800 rpm to around 500 rpm) then will finally just die completely when no gas is given. I just had a major tune up were all wires, plugs and cap were replaced. My mechanic thinks it might be either a leak in the intake manifold or the air flow sensor. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

booster is easy to test ,with the car off pump the brake pedal 5 times all the way, start the car with you foot on the brake, pedal should fade some,if not have the booster checked, also check valve for bootser goes bad at times face comes off.

check that the flame trap is not all gummed up. if it is just clean it out. if that dosen't fix it check your throttle body and you'll prolly have to take it off and clean it up real good. use throttle body cleaner NOT carb cleaner. and if that don't work start it cold so it idles then pull the electrical connector off the idle air motor. if nothing changes the motor is dead and it needs a new one. if it stalls out or runs differently then that is good. if none of that works email me and i'll give you some more ideas.

that's about the majority of simple things so have fun

Please have the vacuum pipes checked for air leaks. It is a minor problem but normally overlooked. Old rubber pipes deteriorate with time and develop minor leaks which cause this problem when the car is hot and these pipes and o rings expand. Only solution is to have them replaced and a pressure test done to ensure that the vacuum system is tight with no leaks.

You may want to check your power brake booster. RPMs falling when the brakes are applied indicates a vacuum leak at that point.

I had the same problem and it's your fuel pump intake system!!!! You need a fuel injector cleaner or just take her into the shop for better analyzing!
