If you believe that homosexuality is sin then shouldn't they be able to teach and preach since everybody sins?

And if you believe that they are born that way then why would the church not let them teach and preach?

No way! If they are actually living in the lifestyle of homosexuality without guilt and without trying to stop it then they definitely should not be allwed to be in any kind of leadership position in the church. Just like with other sins, you have to be willing to change and be acutally working on them before you are spiritually in a position to teach others. How can you lead others to what is right if you aren't striving for it yourself?

In Genesis 19:1-29 the cities of Sodom and Gommorah were destroyed because the people were so wicked. The men of the city wanted to have sex with other men. So God's judgement on the city was to destroy it by raining down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah.

Leviticus 18:22 (speaking to men in Israel) "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Romans 1:26-27 "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

1 Corinthians 6:9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders...will inhereit the kingdom of God."

1 Corinthians 6:13 "The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body."

1 Timothy 1:8-10 "We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers."

I personally struggle with anger in my own life--it is my greatest fault (in my opinion, anyway--I'm sure I know others with other suggestions!!!). I would not feel comfortable teaching or preaching in Church (or anywhere else for that matter) about how to maintain the type of serenity that God calls us to have. I just don't feel qualified, you know?
It's possible I was born this way--with a propensity to anger. I guess it's possible that I also learned this through the example of family and other role-models. But this doesn't much matter, really. I mean, so long as it is something which I acknowledge and pray about and work on, I'm still doing my best to stay on the path.
But, as I'm sure you picked up on, why couldn't I preach on any other subject--say, forgiveness for example. I certainly could--especially if I feel that God had granted me the talent of being very forgiving and communicating that to others. Here's the catch, though: I have to be a Christian who is at least trying to work on my anger--I have to acknowledge my struggle and even if I fall again and again (and I do!), I have to keep trying--I can't give up. If I do not acknowledge my fault here, then I have fallen into pride and a person who lacks humility is in no position to teach or preach to others about anything.
Thanks for reading and God Bless!

No the Christian church shouldn't enable homosexuals to tutor and carry forth! Homosexuality is an aberrant existence variety. to allow coaching and preaching with the aid of homosexuals is condoning this abberant existence variety. Which, can and in all probability will convey approximately difficulty interior the destiny. in case you question this, seem at how immediately the numerous activities interior the Catholic Church have performed out interior the previous 50 years. It grew to become into no longer previously that the Catholic Church wrestled with homosexuality and the effect grew to become into to allow gay men to evangelise and teach. gay men stumbled on their way into the Catholic Church in super numbers. interior yet another decade or 2 the charges of pedophilia against priests began surfacing. a number of those expenses allege the abuse have been happening for an prolonged time. that's no longer all in user-friendly terms a coincidence once you lay out a time line. Catholics permitting homosexuals to evangelise and teach fee the church dearly.

I think you might be a few fries short of a happy meal. I do not want homosexuals preaching or teaching anything to my children in church. Now at school I suppose that's a different arena. If you are living a life considered an abomination by the church, why would the church accept your views? I do not believe they are born that way. I don't believe in a gay gene.

Christians as a whole don't believe that homosexuality is Genetic. Homosexuality is actually proven by the CDC (www.cdc.gov) that it is a choice and the horrible consequences of it.

Christian Churches have the right under the Constitution of the USA not to allow them to spread their sinful nature, and the Judicial Branch of the Government denied homosexual rights for a very good reason.

Hell Naw! If you were a gay person and have laid down ur gay lifestyle then you have something to testify of and preach about. Common sense will tell you that the church is full of confessed sinners that's why they don't live continuously in sin like you do. Believer admit that they are not perfect. Get IT? Homosexuals are definitely not born that way!

I have nothing against Homosexuals. You are right, everyone sins and if we are forgiven then why can't they also be forgiven.
We are supposed to Love everyone as Jesus Loves us. Judgment should never be a part of our hearts and we need to look at EVERYONE as if we are looking at ourselves. (meaning if you are hurt by judgment then why would you plan on hurting someone else in that way)
There are tests in life and you never know when you are being tested....by God!

Homosexuality is a sin, and a choice. They can preach all they want , just not in a Christian Church.

absolutely not....why would we as a church allow one who blatantly lives in sin and against the ways of Jesus to come into a church and teach about God....seems to me they don't know enough about the Bible or care enough about what it says if they live against what it teaches us .....that would be hypocrisy on the churches part to allow them to speak or teach......and I too believe it is a choice one makes.....
