if you drink proper amounts of water when you ingest those dehydrating elements you should do ok.

and cut your hangovers in half or down completely along with keep the blood flow going without having any problems you get when you ingest alcohol.

really you should keep hydrated when you consume alcohol.

for every 12 oz beer i ingest 4 oz of water... (this is volume comparision you can just drink the fluids after so many beers or after you're done drinking)

for 1 liter of wine you should ingest 8 oz of water.

that's the average.

what i do after one bottle of wine i take down 16 oz of water... that does the trick and i don't get headaches or cramps.. and i can go to bed later with a sort of clear head and wake up feeling much better than if i didn't take in any water.

remember the reason why your liver, the other organs and kidneys suffer is the lack of hydration.

so think on that when you catch your buzzes through alcohol.

:D

Anything, done to an adequate excess can be bad for you. Alchohol can be a wonderful thing if you like the taste and its something you can do (addictions, uncontrolled hypertension and other things can make it not such a good idea). Keep it down to one or two glasses a day, depending on body weight. If you can't stop at that, you probably don't need to be drinking at all. Your liver can only take so much alcohol before it gives up on you. Its an ugly way to die...

Dry red wine is a good option in general. The best health benefits (based on current research) probably come from muscadine/scuppernong wines if you can find them locally, but most of them are pretty sweet (the traditional NC way to drink it) and all that sugar isn't so great, and lots of folks don't care for the muscadine flavor.. I sometimes drink a dry red muscadine wine from Duplin Winery, but the taste certainly isn't for everybody. They also make a dry Carlos that is more popular.

As always, hope this answers your question.

Wine is probably your best choice as it has anti-oxidants and less alcohol than the hard liquors. The key is quantity, though. One glass of wine per day is helpful. More than three reaches into the harmful range on liver damage if done habitually.

If you have the alcoholic gene, I recommend you stay away from alcohol entirely. You can get the same health benefits wine has by drinking grape juice.

To minimize liver damage, you need to drink one glass of water per 4 oz of wine. For hard liquor, you need to drink THREE glasses of water per drink. This dilutes the alcohol in your system.

Mixed drinks are less harmful than straight up shots and whiskey because they have Soda / Ice / Water / etc. to thin out the alcohol. All will be harmful to the liver over time, though.

question?? have you ever had kidney stones? if not you will have! drinking is great! don`t get me wrong. but with anything that is great there comes side effects. kidney stones are one of drinking. they compare it to child birth. i know from experience. it is 10 times worse. my last child weighed 10.5 lbs. i would have triples this size any day to keep from having stones again. it is not just once! i`ve had them 10 times. i gave up alcohol. life is hard and anything that will help with it i`m all for. but not alcohol at this cost. go to bottle water and leave the rest alone. sad!!! but true!! wish you much luck and love in your life!!

well if you ABUSE alcohol it doesn't really matter--they would be all hazardous, however doctor say that a glass of red wine a day is good for your health.
