Well I believe in a afterlife and a spiritual journey, I also believe in reincarnation. But what ever spiritual being you believe in, your never alone. Did you stop and think what happened to people in the 100,000 before Christianity? Do you really think that "heaven" is a new concept on to Christianity only? Plus you have to follow what ever YOU feel is right for you, not anyone else.
Even though it seems that Christianity is the majority It is in the US 75% but only 33% of the world population are Christians. so that mean the 67% of us that are not, are going to "hell" I DON"T THINK SO. Just do what you feel is right for you. If your not sure keep searching, theres no rush.
BTW I'm Pagan

There is but ONE TRUE GOD [JESUS].He is the only way of being
Born of God.Believe and recieve Jesus by FAITH and be saved.

Joh 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Joh 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
Joh 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Joh 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of {Jesus is the man}
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,
In Christ in Love,

No other "god" is like Jesus. Think about this. When all the other "gods" died what happened? Nothing, absolutley nothing. When Jesus died, what happened? He was in the grave for 3 days and then he was resurrected through God's power, proving that He has authority over death and sin! Jesus is the only living, eternal God.

Who else can redeem mankind
but God
Understand that God became Man
When you see Jesus you see the Father
Jesus is the Father Who has become Man
How deep can you understand
Spiritual Depth
And Who else is responsible for mankind
but it's Creator
Praise God in all things
And come to understand how awesome
He is
It is the freewill of man which has caused
the suffering of God
God took the all knowing and veiled it
And when He saw how man had become
It grieved Him
God cannot grieve if He already knew
And in watching His children
He had no other choice but to offer Himself
So he became Man
And took upon Himself the sins of the world
because we belong to Him

You seem to be under the impression that whatever you choose will then become "real" like the Velveteen Rabbit. Reality exists, and you must find it. By designing a God to suit yourself, you are in violation of the second of God's 10 Commandments.

The One True God provided a way for your sin to be forgiven, so you might avoid punishment in hell and be reconciled to Him. That way is through Jesus Christ, who said "No man comes to the Father except through Me."

So ask yourself: Is God real? If so, who is He and what are His requirements? If the Bible is true, and I die right now and am judged according to His standard, would I go to heaven or hell?

These are the questions you need to ask yourself if you wish for security in the afterlife. If you want a squishy religion that makes you feel happy, follow whatever you want. But if truth and your soul mean anything to you, consider what I have said.

You must make up your own mind about religion. Take a trip to the library and check the section on religion and spirituality. Also go to Chapter's. Ask to go along to bible meetings or to any religious meeting with friends. Ask some questions. It is easier to become a Christian or Buddhist then a Jew. To become a Jew, you will have to study for years and then go before a rabbinical review. There are lots of books on Judaism at Chapter's though that are quite interesting and informative.

Why convert to christianity if you aren't sure whether it's correct? If you believe in God and Heaven but not Jesus, that belief system is just as valid as christianity or any other major religion. Try to look at the matter logically and take whatever you come up with. If you believe in Jesus, okay, if you think the evidence for him just doesn't add up, that's no worse of a viewpoint. But DON'T let other people's beliefs change your own just because you don't want to be different.

Better yet, convert to atheism.

I mentioned that Jesus fulfilled a huge number of prophecies: this link was given by another in a different question, but it gives details of the prophecies....truly amazing! Check it out:

Should you go for a relationship with Jesus Christ - from my own personal experience - you will never regret it!!! The peace He gives when you are His, a child of the KING ! :) ....think about it - your sins are entirely forgiven, you are brand spanking new in God's eyes - just as if you had never sinned at all - you are totally accepted by Him - He is your Heavenly Father, One you can come to at any time will all your problems, worries, questions, whatever. He loves you - warts and all. You don't have to be perfect to come to Him - He wants you to come as you are!
When you confess that you can't live up to His standard on your own, and you need His forgiveness, (and truly mean it) - you are accepting His FREE GIFT of eternal life. That's His promise to you! And God NEVER breaks His promises.
Then you are ready to start your life as His child. He changes you, little by little, from the inside out. It takes time. Just as you get to know what a parent expects from you as a child, you will start to understand what God expects from you as His child. And He will make sure you get the help you need to walk down this new and exciting path. No, your problems will not magically disappear, but you will get to understand how to face your issues with His help, and have a gut-deep joy and peace in all circumstances. Get to know Him by reading what He has said in His "instruction book" - the Bible. Spend time with Him, by talking to Him in prayer (out loud or quietly in your heart - He hears you anyway). He loves to spend time with you - that's what He created you for - to have a relationship with YOU!! Amazing, isn't it! And then find a church where people love to worship and talk to Him, and to help others know Him better. Ask Him about it - He will definitely show you the way.
If you want any more help, I will be happy to answer your questions as best I can.

Jesus is a fictional character based upon the myth of the god-man that was common in that part of the world at that time. Other examples of the god-man myth include Osirus, Tammuz, and Attis. I do not understand why any thinking person would want to fill their mind with primitive, irrational superstition...especially when the whole point of it is to deny most of your avenues to happiness in this world.

Enjoy this life...and worry about the next one, if and when you actually see that there is one.

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: "Today, if you will hear His voice Hebrews 3:12-15

Today is the day.

He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- Ephesians 4:11-15

Grow up. Into Christ....
