casual or promiscuous sex can be harmful physically (STD etc) or emotionally to women. Within a committed relationship, ideally a marriage, sex is usually very healthy. I think women have more sexual needs then men do (although most won't admit it). They are much more complicated them men. As I understand it, sex is generally just a physical gratification for men. As a women, it is physical, emotional and spiritual.

It can cause vaginal infections and bacterial infections if you use condoms with lubes or flavored lubes or if the guy is having unprotected sex with multiple partners. SOmetimes even cervivitis if say for instance a piece of condom gets stuck in there. Also if they get a STD and dont know it, a woman can become sterile.

having sex can be beneficial to your health--you produce antibodies that are helpful in making your immune system stronger. just make sure you are having safe/protected sex!
