Would you be apathetic, convinced, awestruck, fearful,etc?
The reason why I ask is shortly after this happened, they began worshipping false gods.

You must have meant Reed Sea or sea of reeds. Red is a translation error. Those folks would have had to been marathon runners to make it across the Red Sea.
Live and learn.
Apparently such a thing did not actually impress
the folks that were said to be present at this event. As you say they started worshiping false gods, so they were probably not overly impressed either. I personally would have been awe struck to have actually witnessed such a thing.
