Why do people believe in religion when there is no proof of it's existance, but science has proof of alot if it's history. Like in the bible it says the world started with Adam and Eve, there is no proof of that. But there are rests of dinosaurs, and evolution which we still have today... They just contradict themselves.
I don't want to offend anyone I would just like to know why people choose to believe in religion, instead of the reality and science??

I prefer the word spirituality to religion. Religion is a package handed out by religious authorities through a historical process. I don't believe you can just swallow it whole like religious leaders (especially fundamentalists) suggest. The great religious texts of history provide insight into spiritual matters, insights into a more subtle, more mysterious aspect of existence.
Science is concerned with what our senses can discern, with the physical world in which we live. So for me, the two aren't really in competition. It's only religious literalists and fundamentalists that enter into conflict when they insist on text over scientific evidence.

Because they are afraid to discover that their paradigm is flawed. Also: they would be required to actually accept responsibility for their actions and decisions rather than having the Universe run by a mythological figure.

How do you think the universe was created. It didn't just get here or with the big boom. Some one created it, and that someone was GOD. Yes, things have been discovered, but they were also in Biblical times. I would rather believe in God,knowing we have a maker of ALL creation than not.
