It depends largely on the driver. If you accelerate quickly from stops gas mileage drops dramatically. We had a '96 Windstar that could get around 23mpg on the highway if you tried really hard.

My neighbors' Windstar got 28 MPG but he had to
walk the last 3.

Should get 21-23 consistently on the highway. Combined city and highway will be about 17-18.

The mileage is about the same for the 3.0 and the 3.8 from what I have been told.

If I remember right, around 22 mpg. Depends on driving habits that make it better or worse.
