There are however Muslims living in north Norway, where Ramadan could fall in a period of 24 hour daylight or night.
My understanding is that the local Imam would declare a 'nominal time' of sunrise and sunset - perhaps the times of these events in one of the holy cities and local Muslims observe Ramadan according to these times.

Good question! I don't think there are many in Antarctica, but I am sure they have difficulty with it.
But honestly, I don't think Ramadan has ever fallen on a time when the sun never rises or sets.

well the imam would probably set a reasonable time for them to open and close.
This year in the UK they will last about 15 hours which i think would be about the length they would set it if there were any muslims living in antarctica, which i dont think there are so no worries!

Obviously, they cheat.
I have heard, from a not particularly scholarly source, that Muslims in northern Scotland keep the fast for the same hours that a person in Mecca would.

Since there is no population in Antarctica, except McMurdo Base, I would think the Musliem population is fairly low - so your guess is as good as anyone elses.
