as for iron - barley and spinach are good sources for that. however most greens do contain marginal amounts of iron too. so it'll all add up to your body's requirements too.

You certainly can, although it's a good idea to take a little extra care into balancing your meals when you're a vegetarian. Experts suggest a balanced meal should have a ratio of carbs, proteins and fats as 50:35:15. So just make sure you combine these things in proper amounts and make sure to get low carb, high fibre fruits and veggies in as well. There are lots of protein sources that are non-meat based, and if you still eat eggs and dairy then you shouldn't have to worry about it much at all.

I think yes, but instead of meat, you'll need to take lots of food rich in Protein as replacement, so soya bean type food will be very much needed~
As long as I know, a well-planned diet without meat can be balanced and the person can stay healthy for all normal sports & daily activities~

Yes. You just need to be sure to get enough protein, which is easily done by eating legumes along with some dairy. The idea of the "complete protein" is a myth because proteins are broken down into component amino acids and reassembled in your body anyway. You also need to be sure to eat enough iron. Leafy greens are a good source of iron - kale, chard, collards, mustards, just not spinach for a while!
