Enlisted rank (stripes) goes on the sleevehalf way down from the shoulder seam to the elbow, which is about 6 inches, centered on a crease made from the sleeve seam being at the back. The Air Force tape goes right above the left pocket, the name tape goes above the right pocket. The occupational badge goes on the left side 1/2 inch above the Air Force tape. The unit patch is centered on the left chest pocket and the command patch is centered on the right chest pocket. The occupational badge is optional.

Just ask. Usually the people at the alterations shop know what goes where. They have did enough to know. But FYI the command patch(AETC,ACC,AMC,ect) goes on the right breast pocket. The Base patch goes on the left breast pocket. And if there is a squadron patch it goes above the pocket on the right. An occupational badge gets put above the left pocket. Good luck!

The jacket is worn in reality on particular "formal" events. The blue uniform is an "place of work" uniform and is worn counting on the position one works, the druthers of the commander, and the responsibilities one performs. In 24 years I wore my mine a grand finished of 8 circumstances. In flying jobs my time-honored responsibility uniform turned right into a flight fit; after I worked ALO stuff it changed into BDUs. Many operators evaluate wearing blues to be an illustration of giving into the guy, in case you recognize what I advise. i ought to apply needed blues positioned on as a "punishment" for my adult males in the experience that they were screwing up... EDIT: For the guy below me, the 1554s were Khaki although out of provider for decades; also the blue flight fit hasn't been worn continually. EDIT II: As an intel guy that's going to remember upon what unit you're in: ops intel in a Fighter/Bomber/Tanker/particular Ops Wing-ABU; in case you eventually end up at a MAJCOM or the Pentagon-sentenced to blues.
