How would you feel if you had moved in somewhere...made your room your own (put money into it, took the time to decorate and keep it nice)...Then two months later you get asked to move out...Then when you move out and to somewhere else you are in a small room with barely a closet, your clothes are in the hall way...and...you have no door. Granted you are paying less for rent now but is it really worth it?

You are barely able to get by no matter where you live. Did I mention that you also have a kid?

i assume it is too late to ask not to move.

you can ask for reimbursement for the "upgrades," but you are really not entitled to it. any work done (with your money) on rented property becomes part of the property, and therefore property of the landlord/owner. but it doesn't hurt to ask.

i suggest you look for another place. if you are not happy at home, it is not worth it.

Its a roof isn't it? It does suck if my place wasn't a 5-star, but hey, as long as I am getting by. The good thing about that situation would be, the next place would be so much better, right? I'd have someway to move up from that. I take things for granted all the time, so I think if this happened to me, it would be a reality check of how little I really need to live. If it was me, I'd live there till I couldn't stand it anymore, and use the money I saved up to help me out with the next place I find. I would think of it as a temporary place to put all of my crap, while I am looking for a place that I can live, and somewhere I'd wanna show off to my family and friends, you know, or feel comfortable inviting them over.

yes it would be worth it. everything happens for a reason. Why would you want to stay somewhere you are not wanted. that would be more trouble than it is worth. Set some goals to get yourself out of the situation you are in and move forward using this as a lesson. Always good to focus on the positive, not the negative. As long as you have breath, you have a chance to make it better. Good luck

it is helpful for chat if you say if this is your own experience or not or that you are aware of this as the experience of an other that you know of.
i say this because sympathies are easy to extend ... but sympathies do not support poor or invalid and unjust realization.
choices are choices we make to have more joy and contentment....this is done in many ways by all people.
a person will do be have of the atrocious for love and acceptance...and they whom know not why they choose discover their fears...
so some more explanation would be helpful of your own or some one other(s) experience.....

be well whomever requests

Umm, next time sign a lease.

A written document so they can't ask you to move out.

Gotta watch your own Azz cause no one else is gonna do it for ya.
