It can be uncomfortable at first, if you aren't used to praying this way, but the more you do it, the more comfortable you feel. You at first feel like you don't know what to say or how to say it, but just start out by thanking God for this day, and for Him allowing you to wake up. Once you start to thank God for his many blessings, it seems like He takes it from there. He will actually give you what to say, and who and what to pray for. Don't be discouraged, start out at home praying aloud in your room or some place private. That way when you need to pray out loud with others it won't feel so strange. Hope this helps.....

I use to go to a christian chat room alot and there was times someone would ask me to pray out loud which would mean I would have to type it. I do not feel thats the way prayer should be done. How can you truly pray while typing. I have seen many times where I have asked folks to pray for something and they typed in a prayer. To me that is meaningless. When I ask someone to pray I mean go to your closet and pray and that would be where ever it is you pray.

My husband prays out loud when we eat at home or restaurants.
A girl friend asked me to pray at her house, and I did. The more you do it, the more comfortable you'll feel.

Very comfortable. I'm not ashamed of praying God's words and knowing without a doubt that my prayer or the person who I am praying for will get an answer from God.

I would be perfectly comfortable praying out loud with someone as long as it's to the four directions; the earth, moon, sun, and/or stars; and/or the powers of nature. I would also be willing to pray to the old gods of our people, such as Odin or Freya. However, I am not interested in praying to fictional characters like Jesus as I find his followers to be unendurably pathetic.

The question is are you comfortable with believing in the man up above?

If so then sure you would be comfortable doing anything involving him.

Someone might just say the right words or the other way around!!!!! We all need to do so. But we do not.

The SPOKEN WORD is very powerful on a spiritual level.
We should always pray OUT LOUD.
Scripture says to lay hands on noone suddenly. I don't believe
in pressuring people to do things. We depirve them of the
experience of the Holy Spirit.
But if someone asks you, by all means, do it! Scripture says
to not fear about what we will say. For the Holy Spirit will teach
us what to say in that hour.

LET me put it to you another way. REMEMBER when the hijackers stold the plane 9-11 and the were tring to take it in to the white house? I understand that people were praying out loud then. IF you really LOVE the LORD praying out loud shouldn't bother you.IT DO NT BOTHER ME. Because some day ill meet my judgment day and maker and those people will not be around me .WHERE 2 0r more are gathered in his name, he is in the midst of them.

Absolutely! I have no problem praying out loud with someone else - how else can they hear what I am asking God to do, either on their behalf or on behalf of someone else? It goes without saying that God hears us when we pray - out loud or quietly within ourselves. But praying outloud with someone else is for their benefit mostly. I love to pray with and for others - talking to God in any situation is an amazing thing regardless of when or where! I love that saying " Take your troubles to God - He'll be up all night anyway!!" :)
