I broke up with him to date someone else which didn't work out. Now my ex-boyfriend says he doesn't want a girlfriend now but he loves me. He said he wants to go out every night but isn't looking for a relationship. He said he doesn't want to answer to anyone(me) and is busy with his career. He is still calling me about 3-4 times a week just to chat as we dated for 6 years and he is my best friend. I now live out of town and he lets me stay by his house when I visit (I ask every time). Does this mean he just wants to sleep together now and then (which we do) without a commitment? Other friends tell me he is not seeing anyone else. I am not dating anyone. Should I move on?

Just take it for what it is and don't read into it anymore than what he's telling you. I'd still continue living the lifestyle that is happy for you cause if he's your best friend anyway, you have the best of both worlds! You're very fortunate you guys can still be friends after 6 years in a relationship together. Live life to the fullest cause you never know which day will be your last...

He wants his cake and eat it too. He wants all of the benefits but none of the responsibilities of having a girlfriend and a relationship. You should kick him to the curb. He's acting like a little boy. What you need is to find a real man. Good luck.

thats what my ex always did then i just got over him and now im happy withh my b/f and i still like my ex as a friend but nothing more i just got over him and i still talk to him about 3 times a week but there nothing more than we are just friends

i think you should stay close w/ him....a friendship is better than nothing dont you think? but do you think if he's is sleeping w/ you and telling you he loves you but doesn't want a relationship and doesn't want to answer to anyone he could be doing the same w/ other girls? its just a thought.

yea you probably hurt him pretty bad and take it from me, if you do get back together it will not be the same. the feeligns that he has for you are probably left over from when you guys were in a relationship so stay away. however, if he has loved you before this could be your chance

he wants to be single he s not ready to go back into a relationship
