yes, its quite easy. It just pushes into a groove that you can't see unless you pull out the old one. In my experience if you order the part from a local appliance repair shop they will charge a reasonable amount for the part and then charge about $50 for the service call, they should be able to replace it within a few minutes. If not when you order the part ask if there is a special tool that makes it easier to push into the groove yourself. Its easy though,my sister has done it a few times.

You can probably find a kit at Home Depot or Lowes...

some of them actually just screw on, but yes, you can change them yourself, and it's reasonably easy to do.
