Three years Ago I would have paid to watch this Fight.

But if It Happened Today, this will be Entertaining but I will just watch the replay.

Vargas has a better Skills than Mayorga and at Jr. Middle, Mayorga is nothing but a Brawler Without a power. Do you remember anybody being knocked out by Mayorga since he move up In the Jr. Middle Division.

But the Pre fight hype will be more entertatining than the actual fight.

Bigpumpdaddy ~
These guy's are both shot. There's nothing left to admire or look for, their better days a way far behind them. The more people question "What if" there will be a promoter willing to put together this fight.
Fernando should have retired after is knockout loss to De La Hoya and Mayorga, well Mayorga should be in a bar somewhere in South America offering to knockout a mule with a single punch for a dollar.
In their primes, not that Mayorga ever had a prime, this would have been an entertaining fight. In my opinion Vargas would have stopped Mayorga in the 8th round. Two bullies meeting in the center of the ring taking whatever the other had to offer, Vargas would weather the storm and his all around better boxing skills and abilities would start show after the 5th round.
Now, "The fight" would be a joke with irreversible damage done to both fighters.
Thanks for the question Bigpumpdaddy!

well to tell you the truth I would actually like to see this fight. I would like to see Mayorga win one last fight. He may not be one of the best in that division but he has always been entertaining. His offensive flurries and lack of defense makes all his fights exciting (to his own detrement at times unfortunately.) Vargas has looked bad lately and I agree this would be a closer fight than many may expect. It would definitely be a good enough fight to headline HBO but maybe not PPV. Good question though.

It would be an entertaining brawl...both fighters are aggressive, which would make for a great fight!
