Then the king will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.'

--Matthew 25: 34-36

I think these verses very clearly show what we as Christians need to do if we are to be followers of Christ and to be with God in the next life.

I have rarely heard non-Catholic Christians refer to these verses. It must be too hard for them to follow.

These are my favorites from the Gospel of Matthew...

Mat 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is My body."
Mat 26:27 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you;
Mat 26:28 for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. I love this because I long to see Jesus face to face.
