I take it you visit mostly at your home? LOL
First of all, no corn, (doesn't digest) soy (beans!) beet pulp (pushes food along before it is digested)

Second, put a spoon of plain yogurt on each meal, to aid in complete digestion..

Flatulence is a sign of incomplete digestion of foods, so the more digestible the food, the less gas..

I recommend Canidae, Wellness, Solid Gold, Innova, Natural Balance, or Wysong..to get the most nutrition, the most digestibility..

My Boxer has the same problem and we have just acepted it.

I've noticed that its normally has to do with when he eats or drinks he sucks in a bunch of air (my boxer is slightly deformed where his bottom jaw comes out 2" more that it than what is perfered by boxer breeders and AKC standards, but it effects his chewing and he can't do it very well.) That air he sucks it comes out the other end, after a good bout of exercise or about 30 minutes after he's eaten.

Sometimes I think he gulps up too much air, and he'll be farting just about the whole day. When I was pregnate, it used to give me horrible heart burn, but I love him so much, and after a while he picked up on my moods and would fart in the other room.

Its something maybe the vet could help, by running some tests or offering some diet or feeding ideas!

I did every medical test possible on my dog and he's totally healthy with a ton of gas.

They can also try an elevated food bowel, which has a helped a bit with us, but I don't know if anything will every completly fix it.

Good luck

Dogs are like people and sometimes they are just plain gassy. It could be that the dog has digestion problems, a bad stomach or he is getting into something behind your neighbor's back. Take him to the vet for a check up.

If he comes back with a clean bill of help you can feed him things like tums or roll aides to settle his tummy. We did that with our golden retrievers both of which were fart factories and it helped the dog feel better and cut down on the gas. Do about 1-2 pills for a big dog and if you toss it to them they will usually catch and eat them. You don't even have to hide it in meat.

I had an Old English Sheep Dog for 8 years. We loved her, but she DID have a lot of gas.
Could be he has switched her food TOO much. Tell him to consult his Vet. They can probably recommend a brand of food that wouldn't produce as much gas.
I know Science Diet cuts down on the number of bowel movements dogs have, AND it doesn't smell as bad when the DO go. IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE, but maybe he should try it.
GOOD LUCK!!

Sometimes a switch to Lamb and rice dog food will help. The other thing that we have done for our pets to help that problem is to give them acidophilus. You could also give them plain yogurt with live cultures. The gas problem is caused from the bowels not having enough good bacteria.

Most of the answers that everyone has given you is correct. Some dogs are gassy, but it could also be the food, or its really gotta go! When my dog farts its time to go out..lol

Well, it is definatly some type of digestive issue. More than likely something he is being fed. It may not be the normal dog food, it may be a treat the dog is being given. Keep working with different food and treats untill you find one that works.

Suggestion...put the dog outside. At least the house won't stink anymore.

If sticking with one food is not helping the situation maybe try supplementing with some yogurt. Definitely consult with a vet first & ask for suggestions.

1st off tell your neighbor to stop chang'n foods.
This is not good for the dogs digestive system.
I would feed a better food, such as Science Diet.
Follow feeding instuctions on the bag.
His dog will eat less, poop less & should have less gas.
The food might cost more, but it will be worth it having less gas.
