Jesus is a true friend and he will help you through each day. Pray for help and guidance and give thanks for all that you do have. Find a church community who will help you learn about Christianity. If you're not ready for that step, find a pastor, any pastor, and talk to him/her. They will be happy to help guide you. I could not get through each day if I didn't have my Christianity and my church.

My life has changed greatly since I became a child of God. Knowing Christ gives you a peace in your heart and your life that is so incredible. So many people will tell you lies and false claims to keep you from becoming closer to the Lord, but you must not give into these lies. The Lord is the truth and the light. I will be praying that you go to the Lord with an open heart and open mind. Read the Word with an open mind. Take it literally for some will tell you the Word was written by men and they have manipulated it, but know that the Lord's Word is perfect. There is no mistake, everything is written the way it is for a reason. I pray that you are not brought down by those simple minded ones around you, be wise, know the Lord is the Way.

Ignore all the legalistic advice you are receiving. I am an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I preach and teach the cross and the blood of Jesus.

All you have to do to be saved is believe that Jesus died for your sins and has paid the price for your sin nature. When he died on the cross he died for you. When he was raised from the dead he was raised that you might be raised by believing in him. There is nothing special that you have to do, no special church you have to join, no special rite that you have to go through----just believe and you shall be saved. It is so simple, but most people feel the need to make it complicated, to take what is out in the open and make it a big secret that only a mysteriously clothed person can unravel. Nonsense! The moment that you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you are covered in his blood and are forgive your sins and recieve an inheritance with Christ in the kingdom of heaven. Get a King James Version of the Bible, or a New King James Version and read John chapter 1:1-18, John chapter 3:1-21, and all of Romans chapter 8. This will explain the gospel to you.

Pray this prayer with me right now:

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and I want to be saved from my sinful life right now. Come into my heart and change me, Lord Jesus. Cast off the old man that is within me and let the new man in Christ take over my life. I give you my life here and now, Lord Jesus. I want to live forever in your kingdom----I do not want to go to hell. Save me, Lord Jesus, save me. I thank you Lord for saving me and I love you. Amen.

Jesus is all these things, but when you are born of God, you also will want to be like Jesus toward others.

So true Christians trust & obey Jesus. There are others praying for you. (Christian family & friends.) There are others willing to save you from an accident even if they could die trying. Others may have a word from God for you.

Only Jesus will never let you down. His promises are yes & amen. Jesus already revealed His love for you by shedding His own blood for the remission of your sins. Since He is sinless, He rose from the dead. He wants you to have everlasting life also. So when you are born of God, through Faith in Him, you are part of His Kingdom & inheritance. Jesus already died for you.

What your friend told you isn't completely true (though honest from friends view). It is true that He will never leave you or forsake you. Others can't be there for you 24/7. But Jesus can.

Go for it! God doesn't promise that life will be easy with Him. But He does promise that you will not go through life alone. It's the most amazing thing to know that you are never alone, He will never betray you, never lie to you you, always love you, and cares about everything going on in your life.

Basically you should understand and believe these things:
1. Heaven is a free gift-it cannot be earned or deserved.
2. Man is a sinner and cannot save himself.
3. God is merciful and doesn't want to punish us, but He is just so He must punish sin.
4. Jesus Christ was God and Man. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and rose from the grave to purchase a place for us in Heaven.
5. Faith in Jesus Christ is the way to Heaven. This means trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life. Rest on Christ alone and what He has done, not what you can do.

So transfer your trust to Christ, accept Him as your Savior, receive Him as Lord, and repent. If you pray these things to Him you will be saved! :-)

Romans 10:10,13 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

John 6:47 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life.

Luke 15:10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

You're going to get a lot of very different responses to this, but I hope you don't overlook this one, not because I want the Best Answer, but because I think what I have to say on this subject is very important.

Why would I try to tell you otherwise?

I believe that a person must follow what he or she truly believes in their heart. If you believe that Christianity is the right path for you, then who am I to say that it isn't? On the other hand, if you have hesitations, then perhaps it isn't your path.

This is a decision that neither I, nor anyone else, can make for you (though many may try). You must decide for yourself if you believe in Christ's love and accept His grace.

If it matters to you, I am not Christian.

The essence of what I am saying is, don't do it because someone else wants you to. Do it because it is what YOU want.

1) wrong, your parents would probably, as would many people in the police force and fire department. and i would like to think i would too.
2) wrong, there are 6 billion people in the world, chances are a lot of people went through what your going through.
3) wrong, so does Allah, and Hades, and Pluto, and the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
4) wrong, so are Christians and Muslims and Jews and Wiccans.
5) wrong, your parents probably do to and teachers do,

There are a lot of real people who actually care about you and who aren't dead, something making you feel really good inside has nothing to do with what is true.
