I used to really doubt that there was a god, i didn't believe that Jesus exsisted as a diety on earth. I believed that we were here merely out of pure luck more than anything else. However, I have experienced things in my time which truly changed my perspective. I have seen things happen that are simply just too hard to chalk up as just coincidence. I came back to the faith strongly after my pulmanory embulism. Truly, I know that God helped me get through it. It is realy hard to explain how you know, but when I pray I truly feel as though Jesus is there with me.

I came to know Jesus as a fairy tale. And my born again experience happened when i threw off the shackles of religion and my mind was opened.

I was about 20 years old, a freshman in college, doing a lot of reading and questioning. I became a Christian (didn't know any in my school) and then transfered to study philosophy at a particularly good college. My whole world view changed and I became reading voraciously about everything --science, epistemology, history, theology, etc. It is like the world become color when it was black and white before. I can't really explain it.

My husband and I was lost church members. We both thought we was saved. We was blinded by satan. We went to church regularly and tithed and was envolved with the churches activities. On march 4,1999 my husband came home to tell me he got saved just a hour prior to coming to the house, and I said I thought you was saved. Well he told me how he was blinded and how he didnt even ask the Lord to save him. He just went on what someone else prayed. He left to go tell his family and came home 2 hours later. We was going to revival that night but I had questions I needed answered. I was under conviction of sin but didnt know I was. I just knew I needed to know if I was saved. The same thing that happened to my husband happened to me. I didnt pray and ask Jesus myself. So we drove over to our pastors house where my husband got saved earlier that day and as soon as I got there I knew in my heart I was lost and needed Jesus to save me. My husband and I share the same born again date and for that I am thankful that God looked down and showed us we both was lost and needed Jesus.

Jesus is one of my ancestors.
I knew him via the teachings of the Christians who try to make me believe that he is my lord and saviour.
Being born once is enough for me.

No one can know the son, except the father draw them to him. So when God saw fit to draw me to his son JESUS CHRIST, he did not mess around, I had been trying to read the bible but it was like it was a foreign language to me, I could not understand it at all. So I struggled along for about two weeks, and just all of a sudden it was like some one hit me over the head,, (no kidding I really felt this), and all of a sudden the eyes of my heart were opened, and I could understand the word of GOD,, I TELL YOU IT WAS THE MOST GLORIOUS day of my life, and I have never been the same. I had been baptized for the remission of my sins around 25years before this,,, but I did not applied my self to following God like I should have, so I guess God just got tired of my messing around, and he turned me around. It turned my world upside down and I AM ETERNALLY GRATEFUL to my God in heaven above.. thank you my father, in JESUS NAME.. A-MEN.
