Some christians haven't fully submitted themselves to God even though they think they already have. Its also easier to get a response out of people then to pray about it or look it up in the bible. ( so some may think )Some may know what God wants them to do in their situation, but it's not what they want to do so they look for the answer they are wanting in people.

A Tennessee mother who let her daughter die of untreated bone cancer last fall was indicted on misdemeanor charges in April. Jessica Crank, 15, died on Sept. 15. Members of the New Life Ministries prayed over the girl's open casket for her resurrection. Jessica had a basketball-sized tumor on her shoulder.
Mother Jacqueline Crank, 42, and Ariel Ben Sherma, 74, the church leader, each face a single count of child abuse and neglect. Source: KnoxNews.com, April 17, 2003

I don't know that. And other people give real help.
Did anyone ever tell you the story of the man in the flood? Sometimes the Divine can work *through* people.
Here it is:
A farmer is in Iowa during a flood. The river is overflowing, with water surrounding the farmer's home up to his front porch. As he is standing there, a boat comes up, The man in the boat says " jump in I'll take you to safety".
The farmer crosses his arms and says stubbornly, "Nope, I put my trust in God"
The boat goes away. The water rises to the second floor. Another boat comes up, the man says to the farmer who is now in the second story window, "Jump in, I'll save you"
The farmer again says, "Nope, I put my trust in God"
The boat goes away. Now the water is up to the roof. As The farmer stands on the roof, a helicopter comes over, and drops a ladder. The pilot yells down to the farmer "I'll save you, climb the ladder."
The farmer says "Nope, I put my trust in God"
The helicopter goes away. The water comtinues to rise and sweeps the farmer off the roof. He drowns.
The farmer goes to heaven. God sees him and says "What are you doing here?"
The farmer says "I put my trust in you and you let me down."
God says, "What do you mean, let you down? I sent you two boats and a helicopter"!!!

I have a problem with that. It seems like I only seek His help when I REALLY need something and that is WRONG. I need to work on my relationship with God and look to Him for guidance all the times, not just when I feel like it & when I am in desperate need.

Next time you break your arm, pray over it. Then, go to a doctor for "science" when "God" fails to set it right...

Show me there is a god or goddess or pantheon and I will go to them first in all things.

Same reason people don't ask the Easter Bunny.
Both will get the same results.

Why are you asking us this question? You should be asking God shouldn't you?

It's easy for us to say we have faith in God but God will test our faith with trouble in our lives and then who we turn to proves our faith or lack of faith in Him.
