Okay so I met this really really COOL guy who I plan on spending a lot of time with but my daughter’s father is very jealous! Even though we have broken up for almost a year..he has a very bad temper! He thinks that I will have our child around this young man all the time and maybe take his place (I guess that’s what he thinks). Should I tell him "nicely" that I'm seriously dating another man and will come to a point when he meets my daughter? Or should I just let him find out on his own?

He still holds on to the hope that we will be together on day (little does he know)! So seeing me with someone else will make him furious! What should I do?

If, he still holds hope and has a bad temper ~ let him know now ~ for time is the greatest healer and perhalps ( after a while ) he will get a grip and move on ! There are so many others out there for him so, I'm sure he'll find someone else ! If, you don't tell him ....he may not look elsewhere and ...that's not good !

He sound's like he has not let go of you. I would keep the daughter away from the new guy until you're sure that he's a "keeper". Once that has been established, then have the talk with the ex. Handle the ex with kid gloves cuz he seems volitale. Keep reminding him why you too are not together and that he also needs to move on.

Good luck.

Just date the guy you want to date, your daughter's father is an adult, biologically. Emotionally, he sounds like he's stuck in the sixth grade. You seem to be moving on with your life and he needs to do the same, just use your head when it comes to our daughter around this guy and you'll be doing the right thing.
Good luck with your new guy!

Tell your ex that you and him are through and that you are with someone else and that you are not going to stop seeing your boyfriend just because he can not get over what you once had. Also you should tell him that no one can take his place in his child's life but that your boyfriend may be around your child.
