immobilize it. It sounds like carpel tunnel syndrome. if you ignore it, it will get worse. buy a splint from your local pharmacy and try it out for a few days.

You dont necessarily have to use the finger for the controller for it to hurt. It could be overuse, or carpal tunnel, which can cause that type of pain. The best thing to do is to take some over the counter pain medication, give the hand a break for the next few days, ( no computer, playstation, gameboy, etc. ) and try not to worry. You can buy a wrist spilt to wear at night, to immobilize the wrist and help allieviate the irritation on your nerves. Try reading a little about carpal tunnel and see if the symptoms sounds similiar. Many people have to deal with it over the course of their lives, and its irritation is not always permanent for most, just an annoyance most of the tiime. For some people, taking these steps dont always work right away, and if they dont, its time to check in with a general family doctor, and let them take a look. I am no doctor, but am pretty sure, if you give the games and computer a break for a few days and rest your hand, you will be just fine. Hope you feel better soon.

Carpal Tunnel syndrome. The bones in the wrist become misaligned and the nerves that run through to the fingers become "pinched". Stop playing. Get a brace made for carpal tunnel and wear it for a while and see if that helps. If not, see your doc.

Try alternating your finger with another finger or a thumb. I've got the same problem and my finger is developing a callus from the mouse... It's the pressure on the finger. If you can play using the other hand, try alternating them a few times. Good luck..

Soak it in honey and lemon. Then take it out and dip it in salt. Then get a sesame street bandade and wrap it around really tight. Don't take it off for 3 weeks. If the bandade gets loose. Use another bandade to keep it on. After 3 weeks you should be fine. :)

LOL Carpal tunnel. That's funny. I use to get that from Nintendo. To this day my right forearm is huge compared to my left, lol, from punching the buttons on the controller.
