Ok I noticed that everytime my dog is sleeping, she has crazy spasms & she wines in her sleep. A friend of mine told me she was dreaming, is that true??? Can dogs have dreams???

My dogs do that too, and I have been told that a dog can dream, although I have never asked my Vet about it!

Dogs and other animals do dream! I read that they don't dream about things like humans do. A bird can dream of flying, a cat of catching a mouse, and my dog apparently dreams that she is running. She is always kicking her legs on the floor in her sleep! She also makes sounds and drools.

I recently called my vet about my dog doing the same exact thing. She told me it was the dog just getting into its dreams. She said that some dogs look like they are trying to run and even bark in their sleep. Its perfectly normal.

Yes, and they're so cute when they dream. Mine sleeps next to me, so he will sometimes kick me awake while he's dreaming. And then sometimes he yips, whines, or the cutest. . . . when he starts suckling (he's a puppy--must be remembering mommy). I would love to be able to look into their little minds and see what's going on in their dreams.

Oh yeah they dream. Mine do that all the time, and they'll woof some too. Even my cat does it. It's normal, don't worry about it.
