No. Hate is a strong word. Don't confuse Jesus Christ with the Pope. The Pope is the CEO of Catholicism, voted to office and runs the business of religion. Jesus was a man who was an inspired thinker and probably a gifted individual in his time. Just remember though that Jesus wrote nothing down and we are left to read what others have written about him many years later. What we have is a lot of interpretation which forms a basis for belief and promoted as truth by folk like the Pope. What is troubling to me is that some of this so-called truth washes the brains of believers so that even common sense is ignored. Unfortunately there are many "you" people who will remain loyal to the Pope despite the ludicrous policies and statements that comes out of the Vatican (eg., abstinence is the solution to AIDS in Africa). Don't hate, just disagree and remain very wary.

I don't know the pope personally. I don't have any feelings about him one way or the other, except that I think the notion of "Christ's vicar on earth" is a bit silly....
On the other hand, I do know Jesus personally. I have a very intense love for Jesus.....

It depends on how you use or define the word "hate". Its too strong of a word that too many meanings. Dislike is a better word to describe how people feel about the pope. As the so called "leader" of the Catholic Church he should have been more responsible in choosing his words or the materials he cites. I don't know about your second question, it doesn't have anything to do with the original

I hate to break it to u this way, but we believe in Jesus Christ, we believe he is our Prophet and we too believe the Bible is one of our Holy Books, like the Quran is( bet u didnt knw tht).
As far as the pope is concerned, im sure ull agree with me he is not Jesus Christ from any angle. he generalised the Musims which he shouldnt have, He needs to study our religion before making judgements. Ive read the Bible being a Muslim

I do hate the pope. I don't, however, hate jesus christ. Because I cannot hate someone who is a fairytale that doesn't even exist.

who hates the pope? I certainly don't!
I will admit that I thought what he said was wrong, even if he was just quoting somebody, he is a religous leader, it is his job to keep things peacefull and yes while he may have not meant any harm by is words they affected alot of people, so in that sense he was in the wrong!
However Muslims (and I am one) should not have gone on crazy protests like that, burning pictures of the pope isn;t going to help anything, these people seem to forget the meaning of their own religon and the teachings of their own religon, what happened to the times when we would help even our enemies? One of the greatest muslim leaders- saladin (crusades) was a compasionat caring person who did not kill or harm innocent people whether they were followers of his religon or not, and whether they said anything aginst his religon or not! These people have lost sense of what is right and what is wrong, they need to get a reality check they are not helping anyone and they are certainly not following any religon! Ultimately more than anything they are in the wrong also!
Byt the way I dont hate Jesus Christ (pbuh) I actually love him he is also a religous figure for me just not in the same way he is to u.

I don't hate the pope, I'm sure he's a cool dude... but can I ask you this, why does the pope walk around in the big BLING BLING all the time? Jesus didn't and I don't think he would today... he'd be kickin' it some berkenstalks and a moo-moo. Does the pope think he's more special than me and that's why he gets to wear the three foot hat?

No - I don't believe the Church made the right decision in a long line of bad decisions. I do honeslty believe that he was a Nazi and that he ran to the Church when he figured out Germany was losing. I don't think he is someone that can be trusted and I honestly feel he deliberately attempted to spread hate via his speech. It has nothing to do with Jesus, or Christianitity. I apologzie if my personal iew offfended you, but I think this guy is really bad.

I have absolutely no respect for the Pope in his position as a religious leader. As a regular person, I would respect him as a human being.

You can't please all of the people all of the time, and if your reference is to Muslims, of which I am not one, the way they are wiping out their fellow country men seems like they don't like anyone! least of all the Pope and why because he quoted a Muslim Emperor from 500 years ago! Key Word YES a Muslim Emperor!!!
