I can't get tv in my dorm room because there is only one place to screw a coaxial cable in the wall, and my roomate was using i, so I ordered a splitter on ebay. I recieved the splitter today, but the end of it just looks the same as the thing coming out of the wall. Like I don't see any way to connect the splitter to the wall. So how do I connect the splitter to the wall? Do I have to screw one end of a coaxial cable onto the thing in the wall and the other end onto the spliter?

You have two choices.

The cheapest method: You can purchase a small cable (Under 1ft) to screw into the wall plate and to the input of your splitter. Then attach cables to the outputs into your TVs.

OR

The professional looking method: You can remove the the wall plate and unscrew the cable (on the inside) and reattach it to the splitter. Purchase two small cables and a wall plate with 2 outputs. Attach the short cables to the (inside)wall plate. Screw the plate back to the wall and hook up your TVs

You don't necessarily have to screw the splitter to the wall , just leave it on the floor , out of the way somewhere.
Connect the cable from the wall to the splitter using the in connection, then from the splitter run one cable from the out connection to your room ates TV, and the other cable from the the other out connection to your TV.

One cable coming from the wall to the single side (in) of the splitter. Use two cables coming from the double/triple/quadruple side (out) of the splitter. The out side goes to your TV or cable box.

By the way, you can buy a splitter at any Wal-Mart, Target, Circuit City, or Best Buy.
