...not in an arrogant way but one that respects and observes all life and nature...My world is not anchored or influenced by religion of any kind. I was brought up in a country with little or no religous hang ups...Catholisim was offered at school 1 hr a week but we could and did opt out of it. My family are not religous for several generations in either direction. We never went to any church in any form....Religion was there but not obvious. We grew up on sport, family, nature and the sea....The local culture with their old religion explained well the culture and environment that they lived in prior to white intervention. A culture that managed and maintained the environment and prescribed the rules of the culture. Again it was there but not part of my life...I am not uneducated. I grew up alonside all creeds and faiths....
So I ask why cannot each faith see that they have common ground....Love, Respect of others. Care of the world, Tolerance. Understanding. So why fight each other?

It is a noble quest but one fraught with problems. People who believe in their religion usually hold onto it with a death grip so as not to lose any of themselves. To try and get them to set any of it aside and be tolerant with another faith would be like asking them to step in front of a bullet without the proverbial bullet proof vest.

Not sure what your question is, but you do indeed have a religion from your description.
And yet, everything you see around you makes no impact upon fostering your spiritual side.
My gut feeling is that you are a secular humanist, and a naturist.
Though not recognized by the formal definintions of "religion," those things are supplying you with a balance in life that normal religion does.

As you say, we live in the HERE and NOW.
Religion is the practical application of spiritual concepts into our
daily lives. Associating with positive people. Reading motivational
and inspirational material. Meditation for peace of mind, and
prayer, to keep the lines of communication open to our Highest
Power.
These things are what help us to forget the past, not worry
about the future, and learn to ENJOY THE MOMENT.

This world is in a fight to be the best because no one has been taught what the best is including you. You even admitted that your family for generations has not been taught willing to submit to the Creator and you to like all others that do not believe what the Creator Yahweh says will die in trespasses and sin.

BECAUSE THERE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE SOME RELIGIOUS FANATICS WHO THINK ITS THEIR WAY AND THEIR WAY ONLY, WHO TRY TO FORCE THEIR IDEAS DOWN PEOPLES THROATS IN AN UNLOVING MANNER, AND WHO WOULD FIGHT AND KILL TO GET OTHER PEOPLE TO BELIEVE AND THINK EXACTLY AS THEY DO. AS LONG AS THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE THAT IN THIS WORLD, WE WILL NEVER GET ALONG. SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST SO CONVICTED AND SO STRONG IN THEIR FAITH THEY JUST PUT IT OUT THERE AND TRY TO CONVINCE OTHERS, WHICH THEY SHOULD. NOT JUST WITH RELIGION, BUT PRETTY MUCH WITH ANYTHING THAT YOU FEEL STRONGLY ABOUT YOU TRY TO GET OTHERS TO SEE YOUR SIDE TOO. BUT SOME PEOPLE GO OVERBOARD AND USE VILOENCE AND THEY BUILD UP HATE AND ANGER TOWARDS ANYONE OR ANYTHING NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR BELIEFS. AND THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PEOPLE LIKE THAT ON THIS EARTH, SO FIGHTING WONT STOP UNTIL THE WORLD ENDS. SAD BUT TRUE.

To each its own. People who don't believe in God have a problem with people who don't want to live in sin which is opposite of them which causes spiritual convictions and guilt of sin. That's why there is always going to be opposition between believers and unbelieving sinners.
