Serious answers only please! The girl who is on the mat next to me in my p.e. stretching class has lice. She has some sort of disability, I'm not sure what it is, but she talks really garbled and walks funny. I really don't want to be mean to her, but I also don't want to get lice when we lay back to do our leg stretches, because our heads practically touch! And yes, I DO know it's lice, not dandruff, and I have personallt seen lice hop short distances on one kid's head so I think they could jump the two inches over to me. And no, I can't move my mat. Any ideas??

You gotta just tell them. They may get mad or upset, but they have to know.....and that others know.Tell them as nicely as you can, thats all you can do. Maybe tell another person there, someone that works there , or get out of the class, or ask to be moved. That whole room will have it soon, if it goes on.

If she is delivered by a parent they should be told promptly. It is icky but they have to be told or she will share them with everyone she knows. This is just a hazard of childhood. I'm already scratching.

My kids got them when my daughter was in third grade and my granddaughter in second grade. So it just happens.

Thank goodness they now have across the counter products. It's easy to treat these days.

When my kids were little, it took a Dr.s appointment and a prescription to get the problem solved. I sympathize, it is a challenging problem.

Tell the school nurse, principal, counselor or someone else in charge. They can check her hair to make sure and then call whoever is responsible for her and let them know.

Just so you know.. Lice do not jump. They have no legs.

Well first try not to draw attention to your self and just take the teacher off to the side or out of the room and let her know and she will let the school nurse know and she will check the child... This child my not even know that she has it so its best to tell someone! This can and will spread like wild fire to anyone that gets close to her or sits where she sat !!! Best of luck!!! May god bless you!!!

Tell whoever teaches the class. That is a health violation and she will have to leave. The whole place will have to be sanitized.

I guess you are in school? Tell the teacher immdiately. Everyone in the school will have it if you don't--including you. You can also tell the school nurse and she can quitely pull this girl out of class and check her out.
