I was raised from birth to believe, but there are too many questions and "facts" that make no sense. Did Jesus walk on water or was it a sand bar just under the water? How did Noah built an ark when he was 600 years old...how did he live that long? Why wasn't Eve able to ask for forgiveness after eating an apple, but someone on death row can ask and be forgiven after killing children? I could go on for days, so I'll get to the point...I think religion is a way to control people based on fear. Everytime you go into the church they are asking for money or telling you that you are going to hell. I am the type of person that needs rock solid proof in order to revolve my entire life around a belief system. "Faith" is not proof enough.

But as a typical Christian you wouldn't have a clear awareness of what "the way, the truth and the light" actually means. As a typical Christian you parrot what you've been taught and accept things that don't make sense and "aren't supposed to make sense" from a blind-faith viewpoint. You think the only reason you were born was to believe Jesus died for you, and nothing else matters. As a typical Christian you have never studied the history of Christianity, Judaism and mythologies, and you believe in a god who, by your own bible, is neither omnipotent nor omniscient, although you insist he is.

I have no reason to believe in God, or Jesus as the way, the truth, the light or anything else.
Yet I still manage to live a full and happy life.
Odd, eh?

Yes I believe. With a creation there has to be a creator. There is no way you can this organized creation out of nothing. If evolution is true then why is there no in between to apes and man? Why are Apes still being born if they've evolved? With this war going on we've all seen that an explosion creates nothing but chaos. So big bang is out of the question too. The only thing that makes sense is creation.

Why, oh why, do you arrogant Christians think that if one does not accept Jesus, then one doesn not believe in God. I'm Jewish...I believe that God is God, but I don't believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Get over yourself!

people don't believe in god nor do they think god doesn't exist is because:
seeing is believing;.
they can't see god, thru their human/fleshly eyes so they don't believe.
like the saying goes: to see is to believe.
how can the unsaved believe god exists when they can't see, feel, or touch god. they don't see god in a human body. someone tangible.
us christians know different. we can feel god & his holy spirit. we live by faith, not by sight.
i believe in god 110%. i've been serving god again since 1991. & god's never let me down. he's never left me nor forsaken me. his promises still remain & stand the same. i've applied his word/the holy bible to my life & that is true also. he's heard all my prayers & have answered them according to his "perfect will"
god is the way, the truth, & the life.... he's the light unto this cruel-evil-& darkened world.
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not see. same sanario.
god bless.

And why do YOU believe it? Because you were raised that way, or because you found out all about it, reseached it, and know that it is factual?
I believe that God created the earth, but has not interceded in the progress of evolution and does not answer prayers. I do not believe that the Bible is the word of God and I do not believe that Jesus is the son of God or God himself.

OH BOY
I don't not believe in it because it is the biggest lie in history. There is no proof of God (waits for "faith" to be said) and there is no original sin. Human evolved from a common ancestor - a primate. More facts to prove that then there is of "God"
